Will we have goslings for 2025?

The winter of 2025 has been marked by profound loss at Tres Pinos Valley Farm, particularly with the passing of our beloved ganders, Walter, Wobbles and Spot. As a result, our remaining lady geese (Delilah, Whinny, Gertrude and Bindi), now find themselves without companions in what should be a season of warmth and renewal. In a tragic series of events, our farm has endured relentless predator attacks, delivering a somber blow to our duck population, as well as greatly diminishing our chicken flock. Our three brave ganders demonstrated remarkable courage, sacrificing their lives one by one to protect their flock from a relentless bobcat. Despite our tireless efforts to secure the aviary, this cunning predator found a way in, leaving us heartbroken.

As we look ahead to spring, we are determined to seek out replacement ganders, although this arrival will come too late for this year’s mating season. Our hope clings to the future, and we ask for your thoughts, prayers (and patience if you are on a waiting list) as we work to rebuild and recover. We remain optimistic that the 2026 gosling season will be filled with joy and successful new beginnings, bringing mama geese the companionship they so dearly need. Your support means the world to us during this challenging time.
